Although stronger than a Dana 30 many will agree that the Jeep Dana 44 axle found in Wrangler Rubicon TJ and LJ Unlimited still doesn't meet the strength requirements of todays wheelers.
Our Jeep Rubicon Dana 44 weld-on front axle truss remains reasonably priced so that everyone can take advantage of its benefits. Designed to run the full length of the axle tube our truss helps distribute the load put on the front housing at any one time. By giving you the option to add what axle brackets/mounts you need our 3/16" formed steel truss is ideal for all projects - custom or factory upgrade.

Requires removal of factory upper control arm mounts, coil mounts and swaybar mounts. Requires welding for installation. We strongly recommend using a certified welder for any welding tasks.
Because of the various options available. Truss kits are assembled to order so please allow 5-7 buisness days before shipping. Product received may differ in appearance from picture diplayed above.
The factory trackbar mount cannot be retained with this truss. Our Coil Spring Buckets include provision for factory trackbar mounting as well as shock mounting.
NOTE: Due to our DS upper control arm mount being raised slightly, the truss may not work with a suspension setup that utilizes an upper control arm that is welded at a fixed angle to the lower control arm. Manipulation/modification of the lower control arm mounts may be required for these applications.
Not recommended for use with factory control arms.

Dana 44 JK in your TJ Oh YEAH!!

This truss helped me make one of the smartest decisions ever! My Jeep runs 37" tires and since I put them on there Ive had issues with the brakes. Running that big heavy tire and wheel combo sure made it hard to come to a stop. I thought long and hard about the AEV/Vanco big brake kit. Basically these kits put the JKs bigger rotors and calipers on and a Dodge master cylinder. Additionally I always new my front axle was my weak link. With the JK now breaking into its 6th year of production you can find these front axles every where and most times for cheap. The bigger ring and pinion, big brakes, electric locker, ect.. So many upgrades at once! Finally I had my solution. The only problem with this axle is the tubes. Im no expert but I have to say that this truss absolves that issue, not only that but it makes the install into a TJ/LJ simple as pie. The directions are simple and easy to follow. If youre thinking about this dont hesitate youll be glad you did.
